The Wooden Horse:

A long, long time ago, there was a city named Troy. The city was very rich and had great treasures inside its huge walls. Hearing the stories about the wealth that existed in Troy, the Greek King decided to take his army there to steal the gold.

خیلی وقت پیش شهری به نام تروی وجود داشت. این شهر بسیار غنی بود و گنجینه های بزرگی در داخل دیوارهای عظیم خود داشت. پادشاه یونان با شنیدن داستان هایی در مورد ثروتی که در تروا وجود داشت، تصمیم گرفت ارتش خود را برای سرقت طلا به آنجا ببرد.

Hundreds of war ships with thousands of Greek soldiers sailed to Troy to try to conquer the city but the Troians spotting the invasion locked themselves into their huge fortress and no matter what the Greeks tried to do, they could not get in. The Greeks tried everything for years but it was just impossible o break in. The Greek King was getting furious!

صدها کشتی جنگی با هزاران سرباز یونانی به سمت تروا حرکت کردند تا شهر را فتح کنند، اما ترویایی‌ها که تهاجم را مشاهده کردند، خود را در قلعه عظیم خود حبس کردند و هر کاری که یونانی‌ها سعی کردند انجام دهند، نتوانستند وارد شوند. یونانی‌ها همه چیز را امتحان کردند. سال‌ها بود اما نفوذ کردن غیرممکن بود. پادشاه یونان خشمگین می‌شد!

Suddenly, one morning, without notice, the Greek army had disappeared. No Greek soldier was to be seen. The Troian soldier decided to send some soldiers to check if the Greek army had indeed retreated in defeat. The Troians looked and looked but no Greek was to be found.

ناگهان، یک روز صبح، بدون اطلاع قبلی، ارتش یونان ناپدید شد. هیچ سرباز یونانی دیده نمی شد. سرباز تروا تصمیم گرفت تعدادی سرباز بفرستد تا بررسی کنند که آیا ارتش یونان واقعاً با شکست عقب نشینی کرده است یا خیر. تروی ها نگاه کردند و نگاه کردند اما یونانی پیدا نشد.

Suddenly, they stumbled upon a huge wooden horse. The Troians all gathered up at the beach contemplating the horse. “This is an offer from the Greeks!” a Troian said. “To honor us for our victory! Let’s take it to our city so we can forever remember the day we defeated the Greeks.” “We should not take anything from the Greeks,” an old man said. “My advise is that we burn this wooden horse!”

ناگهان به یک اسب چوبی بزرگ برخورد کردند. تروی ها همه در ساحل جمع شدند و به اسب فکر کردند. "این یک پیشنهاد از یونانی ها است!" یک ترویایی گفت. برای افتخار ما برای پیروزی! بیایید آن را به شهر خود ببریم تا بتوانیم روزی را که یونانی ها را شکست دادیم برای همیشه به یاد بیاوریم. پیرمردی گفت: ما نباید از یونانی ها چیزی بگیریم. توصیه من این است که این اسب چوبی را بسوزانیم!

The King thought and thought and eventually decided to take the horse inside the walls of Troy! The peace had returned to Troy and everyone returned to their normal lives.

پادشاه فکر و اندیشه کرد و سرانجام تصمیم گرفت اسب را به داخل دیوارهای تروا ببرد! آرامش به تروی بازگشته بود و همه به زندگی عادی خود بازگشتند.

After a couple of days, there was a celebration, and every Troian went to the forest to celebrate. Suddenly, when everyone was away, a little door in the wooden horse was opened and hundreds of Greek soldiers who were hidden inside got out of the horse and stole all the gold of Troy quickly escaping!

بعد از چند روز جشنی برپا شد و هر ترویی برای جشن به جنگل رفت. ناگهان وقتی همه دور بودند، در کوچکی در اسب چوبی باز شد و صدها سرباز یونانی که در داخل آن پنهان شده بودند از اسب خارج شدند و تمام طلاهای تروا را به سرعت فرار کردند!

When the Troians returned, they were surprised to see how they were tricked by the Greeks. They learned the lesson that “WHAT APPEARS TO BE A GIFT CAN BE A TRAP INSTEAD!”

هنگامی که تروی ها بازگشتند، از اینکه دیدند یونانی ها چگونه آنها را فریب داده اند، شگفت زده شدند. آنها این درس را آموختند که "آنچه که به نظر می رسد یک هدیه است، می تواند در عوض یک تله باشد!"
